Jeff Faris

Jeff has been selected as an Expedition Leader for ‘The Adventure Boutique’ due to his abundance of worldwide experiences in a range of different environments. Outside of Expedition Leading he is also a Close Protection Operative and a UK Registered Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist.

Jeff regularly teaches survival skills to Humanitarian Aid workers and NGO personnel who operate in hostile environments. These skills include basic survival skills, negotiating with armed groups, response to roadblocks and checkpoints, as well as dealing with general criminal activity such as pick pocketing.

He has also worked closely on the Brecon Beacons in leadership exercises with Police trainers. This exercise included all weather conditions mountain survival, map-reading and navigation skills, team work and leadership, casualty evacuation drills, police searches involving escape and evasion and top-roping exercises.

He also teaches Security Operational Planning on the BSc Hons Risk Management, Security Operations and Investigation at the Police Sciences Department of the University of South Wales.

Trust in Jeff’s skills came to a head when he was asked to be Close Protection Team Leader and Security Consultant for the BBC 1 Feature Documentary “David Beckham into the Unknown” in Brazil, 2014.
